    Kamdudha Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine with mineral and herbal ingredients, primarily used to treat digestive ailments related to excess heat or 
    Pitta dosha. It is commonly used for conditions like hyperacidity, gastritis, and ulcers. This traditional remedy is typically taken in tablet form. 
    Key uses and benefits
    • Hyperacidity and gastritis: Kamdudha Ras has a cooling effect that helps neutralize excess stomach acid and soothe the irritated lining of the esophagus and stomach. This provides relief from symptoms such as heartburn, burning sensations, and sour belching.
    • Bleeding disorders: The medicine is used to manage bleeding conditions, including nasal bleeding (raktapitta), heavy menstrual bleeding, and bleeding hemorrhoids.

  • Ingredients
    The ingredients can vary between manufacturers, but most formulations contain a mix of herbal and mineral compounds (bhasma). Common ingredients include: 
    • Mukta Pishti or Mukta Bhasma: Prepared from pearls.
    • Praval Pishti or Praval Bhasma: Made from coral.
    • Shankh Bhasma: Made from conch shells.
    • Shukti Pishti or Mukta Shukti Bhasma: Prepared from pearl oyster shells.
    • Kapardika Bhasma: Made from cowrie shells.
    • Swarna Gairika or Shuddha Sonageru: Purified red ochre (hematite).
    • Giloy Satva or Amrita Satva: An extract from the herb Tinospora cordifolia
  • Dosage and administration
    • Dosage: The typical adult dosage is 1–2 tablets, taken once or twice a day, or as directed by an Ayurvedic practitioner.
